NetSuite unveiled its new TribeHR for Mobile iOS solution at NetSuite SuiteWorld this week, bringing the power of a socially-connected workforce to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.
NetSuite acquired TribeHR in May and described this release as the first mobile human capital management software app built for employees and managers first, with the goal of promoting greater organizational engagement, productivity and morale.
NetSuite TribeHR Mobile for iOS features a News Feed to keep users connected with their team using instant social connectivity, including notifications of co-workers' recognition, birthdays, service anniversaries, goals accomplished, time off and calendar events.
There is also a searchable employee directory function, time off management tools and functionality to allow employees to enjoy public recognition kudos and allow users to take pictures and attach them to a social peer recognition service and to leverage mobile device GPS data to illustrate an employee's location.
Evan Goldberg, founder, CTO and chairman of the board, demonstrated on stage how users can access TribeHR Mobile to connect with one another.
“To make sure this information is rich at all times we need to enable employees to enter information about what they are doing from any device in any place. TribeHR Mobile for iOS will be crucial to making new business realities work as productively, effectively and profitably as possible,” Goldberg said.
TribeHR stores standard HR information but also integrates key account ERP information from NetSuite. It can be used to track ‘active goals’ belonging to individual employees.
Cross-platform accessibility is important to NetSuite and the company says that it recognizes the need to provide compatibility for as wide a choice of devices as possible. It plans a release to extend NetSuite TribeHR Mobile for Android devices.
